The Ideal Pocket Monster Legends: Z-A Mega Evolution According to the Zodiac Sign

The return of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked immense enthusiasm across the fandom. From the gradual reveal of newcomers before the title's release, to trainers developing firm views on the entire lineup of Mega Evolutions, there's a lot for fans to anticipate.

Given many of the Super Forms showcasing unique designs that emphasize their personalities, one thought naturally: How can connect this with astrology? This list is based on a mix of intuition, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.

The Ram – Super Camerupt

To be truthful, Houndour's evolution was nearly chosen for Aries, as both are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that evoke the greatest apprehension. But, a Super Houndoom comes across as always furious, which doesn't match the Aries vibe, renowned for being fun, cheerful, and impulsive. That's why Aries much more akin to Mega Camerupt, which only erupts when angered. Stay on the good side of either and benefit from a powerful ally; if you cross them, prepare to face the consequences.

Taurus – Super Heracross

Similar to a loyal Bull, the reliable Heracross species, whether in its standard and Mega form, has aided many trainers in Legends: Z-A. While trustworthy, both the Pokémon and a Taurus are also Fighting types, and – be it their trainer or a firm belief – will stand up for their side to the end. What about Mega Heracross that recalls most of my Bull-sign companions, however, is its unabashed passion for snacks. Several past Pokédex entries mention their craving for tasty tree sap and how it uses its appendage to hoard it everything, which is pure Bull-sign vibe.

The Twins – Mega Medicham

Observe this total queen. You cannot convince me this Pokémon is not the soul of every party, providing an endless stream of gossip to anyone who wish to hear. Just like an enrapturing, sociable Twins, it's incredibly easy to imagine Mega Medicham captivating an whole Wild Zone with their stories. This Pokémon's official description also mentions its ability to predict an opponent's future actions, which sounds quite similar to a people-smart Gemini.

The Crab – Super Manectric

The Crab is widely regarded as the most emotional member of the zodiac, a passionate symbol famous for often getting wrapped up in their feelings. According to the Pokédex, Mega Evolution fills the Pokémon with a “tremendous quantity of electricity, but it's excessive for this Pokémon to completely manage,” which seems a lot like a typical Crab crash-out. It is also known for its ability to make a storm cloud over its own head – and if there’s one thing a Crab is likely to do, it’s spoil their good time.

The Lion – Mega Starmie

Well, did you think I was going to pick the lion Pokémon for the lion of the stars? Aside from the fact that it would be much too obvious, Leo is obviously Super Starmie, the star whose gams just went viral for being too fabulous (or horrifying, based on your taste). Fans couldn’t look away from the violet starfish, and that’s precisely the identical energy a Lion offers to the scene. Starmie is also said to be transmitting signals from its red core out into the cosmos, and it’s typical of a Lion to be putting on a show, albeit for aliens.

The Maiden – Mega Victreebel

The ever-prepared and perpetually-anxious Virgo is ideally represented in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with constant digestive issues. The zodiac symbol known for being endearingly critical is strongly reflected across this creature's entire evolutionary chain, from a perpetually surprised face like a Virgo when you inform them you lack a retirement plan, to its upside-down visage that’s just like the emoji a Virgo sends to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “be spontaneous” instead of making a plan.

The Scales – Super Audino

Look at this sweet, empathetic being, who uses the sensors on its ears to detect how others are emotionally by their pulse. Always empathetic – occasionally to a fault – and striving to maintain the harmony, there are numerous Libras who would probably benefit from Mega Audino’s abilities. However, to be frank, it would probably just cause them to worry even more about others.

The Scorpion – Mega Banette

Banette is a creature with a surprisingly tragic origin: Discarded as a toy, it gained sentient through pure hatred and swore retribution on its previous caretaker. According to the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That sounds exactly like many conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpion friends. A Scorpion adores karma and retribution, making them the perfect match with Mega Banette.

Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha

Each Mega Hawlucha and Sagittarians are always putting on a performance. As a Sagittarius personally, the amount of occasions I’ve called myself some variation of a “playful little jester” is innumerable. The most flamboyant and most attention-seeking Mega Evolution, its Pokédex entry even mentions how it “poses to display its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had a Mega evolved form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Sagittarius counterpart I can imagine.

Capricorn – Super Absol

Did you know that a Super Absol has the ability to foresee calamities in advance? That gives the exact same energy as a Capricorn, who often consistently believe they’re correct. The thing is, much like a prophetic Super Absol, they often are. It’s also the very initial Mega Evolution that players meet in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Goat to join the ground floor of the Super Form craze.

Aquarius – Mega Chandelure

Detached air sign Aquarius is possibly the non-fire sign that is most like a flame symbol – its sister sign is Leo, and there are numerous jokes about Sagittarius and Aquarius being unpredictable accomplices. Mega Chandelure’s dual Spirit/Flame category matches seamlessly with this, and the Mega’s overall daunting presence is also extremely Water Bearer. If you hadn't yet persuaded, the Super Form's description says it “draws in hatred and transforms it into strength.” If that fails to exactly {encaps
