This young athlete maintains substantial online presence
Kai Trump will have multiple prominent backers as she makes her professional golf debut later this week.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be the granddaughter of a former US president, was granted a sponsor's invitation to play at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.
The former president, an avid golfer, possesses numerous international courses and frequently matches against his granddaughter.
"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we play tight competitions," she stated.
Kai explained that her grandfather, unable to come, advised her: "Just don't get nervous."
"He basically advised me to play and relax," she added.
"From my perspective, he's just an ordinary family member. He can't make it this weekend. He's focused on running the country, making him somewhat preoccupied."
While still amateur, Kai has competed in a mere three competitions recently and holds the 461st position in AJGA rankings.
Yet she can receive tips from 15-time major champion, who is dating her mother.
"He represents the top athlete worldwide," the young golfer said.
"Additionally, he's a more impressive individual. He advised me to play, relax, following the flow."
The golfer will compete against some of top competitors in the sport at the competition, such as second-ranked Nelly Korda, England's Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.
Officials stated that Kai's presence helps introduce the sport to wider groups, specifically among the next generation.
Kai boasts millions of followers and has started a personal fashion and living brand.
She begins at 5:30 PM GMT.
