The children's author David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.

Best-selling writer for children and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.

An official for the firm commented: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."

Media sources suggest that the decision was made after an review of allegations of inappropriate behaviour involving young women.

The company has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, adding: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."

A Highly Successful Publishing History

Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in five dozen languages.

His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.

Some of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.

He has published in excess of 40 works altogether, which features a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.

He first rose to fame on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was made an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.

This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
