The City of Angels experienced citywide celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-match World Series title. Supporters across the globe joined Angelenos in jubilation, marking the first time in 25 years that a team has achieved back-to-back championships.
Celebration Parade Attracts Enormous Crowds
Local events featured a downtown parade on the morning of the parade, a reserved-seating event at Dodger Stadium, and spontaneous parties throughout the city.
Online footage depict thousands of Angelenos flooding downtown streets, many displaying homemade signs and Dodger flags. The squad was seen traveling proudly on a open-top bus through the masses, raising the Commissioner’s trophy high.
