Jet Carrying US Defense Secretary Forced to Land in UK Due to Crack in Windshield
An aircraft ferrying Pete Hegseth was forced to make an unplanned landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was found in the plane's windshield, according to an official statement which stated that all passengers were secure.
"The jet landed based on standard procedures and all passengers, such as Secretary Hegseth, is secure," a press officer stated in a online announcement.
Hegseth was returning from a brief trip to the city of Brussels at the time.
This occurrence is not the first occasion that a US military aircraft ferrying a high-ranking official has suffered technical problems.
Months ago, a United States Air Force aircraft transporting Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was required to turn back to Washington DC after experiencing a technical issue.
